Dr. Rebecca Lee
Rebecca was born and raised in New York State. She moved across the country to work with Los Angeles County patients at Harbor-UCLA for her Internal Medicine Residency training. Residency at Harbor-UCLA introduced Rebecca to her passion – taking care of vulnerable populations and advocating for health equity at all levels of clinical care. She was drawn to the HIV Clinical Leadership fellowship because of the mentorship provided by the faculty.  She is looking forward to nurturing her interests in HIV medicine and social determinants of health.

Oliver completed his medical degree at UCLA Medical School and residency training in Internal Medicine at UCLA-Olive View. In addition to HIV, he is interested in adult primary care, PrEP, sexually transmitted infections, and expanding access to care through telehealth. His focus is serving communities of color, particularly immigrants and those who identify as LGBTQ+ who are impacted by HIV.  Oliver is excited to continue providing care for the underserved community in Los Angeles County.

Class of 2019-2021

PictureDr. Emma Allseits
Dr. Emma Allseits
Emma was born and grew up in a rural village in the south of France.  When she turned 15, she moved to Miami with her family and started a new adventure.  She completed undergrad at the University of Miami and medical school at FIU Herbert Wertheim COM.  Her passion for caring for HIV patients started in college and has grown since.  In college, she was part of an HIV awareness group and was a research volunteer who investigated how coping with HIV affects health in people living with HIV/AIDS.  In medical school, she had the opportunity to serve underserved communities across the globe, from locally in Miami to internationally.  Those experiences fueled her passion for underserved care and led her to her family medicine residency at UIC Chicago, where she worked in an FQHC clinic serving a diverse, underserved population.  Her interactions with HIV patients in her clinic confirmed for her that she not only wanted to be the primary care provider for her patients, but also be the physician to manage their HIV care as well.  Her interactions with patients and providers in diverse settings reinforced that she wanted to become and advocate and leader in HIV care and practice HIV medicine in underserved areas.  She is really looking forward to starting the USC Fellowship!
